Prof. Dr. Vladimir Dimcev

Vladimir Dimcev obtained B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1983, M.Sc. in 1990 and Ph.D. in 2001 from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Macedonia. Since March 1987, he has been employed at Electrotechnical Faculty, Department for Electrical Measurements, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, as teaching and researching assistant. In 2003 he was promoted as assistant professor and in 2007 he become associate professor.
His scientific and research areas of interest are: power systems measurements and instrumentation, earthing and measurements of grounding grid parameters, electromagnetic interference, research and measurements of electromagnetic fields under transmission lines and power transformers, data acquisition systems, power quality in electrical systems.
He has been conducting several international and domestic scientific projects, he wrote over hundred papers for different international and domestic journals, congresses and symposiums.
He is a senior member of the IEEE and president of the IEEE Macedonia section for the period of 2006-09. He received award from IEEE Power Engineering Society as distinguished engineer in Region 8 for 2001, also a member of the CIGRE - Paris.
